Executive Board
Board of Directors
2009 Contest Format
New Contest Format (A & B will alternate weekly)
OIPA Championships will feature one awards ceremony.
Penalties
Penalties will begin at the January 31st show during the 2009 season.
Critique
Beginning this season a critique order will appear online 7 days before each event with final contest information. Critique order will be pre-determined by travel distance allowing those units with the furthest distance to travel the earlier critique times.
Tabulators
The OIPA will hire two tabulators for each contest beginning the 2009 Season. The Tabulation area will be off limits to everyone during the contest. Members of the Executive Board and Board of Directors will staff an administration table at each contest to answer questions, solve problems, and provide information and sign-up solo & ensemble participants.
Digital vs. Cassette
The OIPA Executive Board is researching the possibility of going digital beginning this January. More information will be announced as soon as a decision is finalized.
Championships DVD
The OIPA will offer full Finals DVD’s that will include features highlighting Solo & Ensemble
Membership Dues 2009 Season
$450 All WGI Classes (SA, IA, SO, IO, SW, IW)
$425 Regional A Percussion and Color Guard
$400 Line and Exhibition Units

Solo & Ensemble Fees 2009 Season
$15 Per Solo
$30 Per Ensemble
No additional fee for non-members
Fees must be paid prior to performers being added to the contest line-up
Solo & Ensemble Judging
One Judge will judge guard/dance while a different judge will judge percussion classes.
Judge will be certified/experienced in the area they are assigned to judge.
Line Division Judging
Two Judges will now judge line classes.
Individual Analysis will have 60% of the Score Sheet
General Effect will have 40% of the Score Sheet
Education Day Event
December 6, 2008 (Columbus Area)
Cost: $5 per Student/performer (Staff/Directors Free)

Preview Show
This year, during the OIPA Preview Show, a guest clinician/designer will be present to make tapes for each unit. The tapes will be focused on the show design to assist instructors in receiving feedback (without score), as programs are being designed/developed. Preview will not be a scored event.
