OIPA Education Event - Dream. Discover. Do.
The OIPA is excited to have accomplished Percussionist and Arranger Andrew Schnieders as guest clinician for the OIPA Education Event.
Dream. Discover. Do. is set for Saturday, December 6 from 10am-5pm at Middletown High School in Middletown, Ohio. Entry fee is only $5. OIPA Unit Directors will be admitted free.
Andrew Schnieders - Biography

Andrew has performed with a diverse range of groups throughout the years. His first involvement with Drum Corps came in 1991 as a member of the Star of Indiana, winning the DCI World Championship. He was section leader for the following two years and in 1993 won the High Percussion Award along with the DCI Keyboard Soloist World Champion title.
In 1995, he performed as the Marimba Soloist in Star of Indiana’s “Brass Theater” with the Canadian Brass and Nexus. Andrew is an Original Broadway Cast Member of the Tony and Emmy Award-winning Broadway Show “BLAST!”, at the Broadway Theater in New York City. He also performed in the “BLAST!” North American Tour from 2002 to 2003.
He has worked in the past with the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps and arranged for the Eastern Kentucky University and Miami University Indoor Drumlines. In 2004, Andrew arranged and instructed the DCI World Finalist Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps. He has achieved many titles and awards while working with over 25 high school groups during his career.
Currently, Andrew teaches at Avon High School in Indianapolis along with Jay Webb and Jeff Queen. He writes for their 5 Straight ISSMA State Champion Marching Band, the WGI “World Class” Finalist Indoor Drumline, and is Director of the “A Class” Indoor Drumline. He also arranges for several other quality schools in the area and travels to Elementary schools performing Educational Clinics based on his own original material.
Andrew is endorsed by Vic Firth and TreeWorks and is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and Phi Budda Rhudda.
